On top of that, the costs grew quickly—salaries, office space, phone systems, management. That’s why I decided to test AI voice agents with Callin.io, and here’s how the cost and ROI compare in my experience.

1. Cost of traditional call centers

Salaries and benefits for agents

Training time and constant turnover

Office equipment, phones, software licenses

Managerial overhead

Even with a small team, the fixed costs pile up fast. If call volume goes down, you still pay the same.

2. Cost of AI voice agents

A subscription fee for the platform

There’s no hiring, no sick days, and the agent can work 24/7.

3. ROI comparison
For me, the ROI showed up in two areas:

Consistency: The AI agent follows the script every time, never forgets to ask a question, and doesn’t get tired.

Speed-to-lead: AI can call back a lead instantly, which increased my conversion rates compared to waiting for a human rep to pick up the phone.

4. Hybrid approach
I don’t think AI fully replaces humans. The best model I’ve seen is AI agents handling the first stage (qualification, reminders, follow-ups), and then human reps focusing only on the high-value conversations. That way, you reduce costs while actually improving ROI.

Conclusion
If you run a high-volume call operation, switching part of it to AI agents is a no-brainer. The cost per call goes down dramatically, and the ROI comes not only from money saved but from more efficient use of your human team.

Hello everyone,

A few days ago, I shared a workflow that features an AI Voice Agent capable of conducting sales calls independently.
It gained significant traction on Reddit, accumulating over 67K views and eliciting a wide range of responses.

Some individuals were impressed, while others expressed concerns, and a few felt it was "excessive."
…Numerous comments raised questions about the ethics, privacy, and the future of genuine human interaction in cold calling.

However, I'm now interested in hearing the perspectives of the callin.io community – you builders, technical minds, and automation enthusiasts.

What are your thoughts?
• Is this advancing the field in a positive way?
• Or is this a tool we should approach with greater caution?
• Would you consider using an AI agent to manage your sales calls?

Use case: I have product pictures (png) stored in Google Drive. I've configured a node to convert these images into base64 format before sending them to an AI model for background modification (e.g., placing a sofa picture into a living room scene).
Problem: I attempted to call the new Gemini API using the HTTP node. I'm located in the US, so there are no geographical restrictions, but I'm unable to get it working. The endpoint I'm using is: https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/v1beta/models/gemini-2.0-flash-exp-image-generation:generateContent?key=APIKEY.

I consistently receive the following message: “models/gemini-2.0-flash-exp-image-generation is not found for API version v1beta, or is not supported for generateContent”. However, Google API documentation indicates that this model does exist: Gemini models | Gemini API | Google AI for Developers.

I also tried using OpenAI, but I could only generate images from scratch, not utilize my existing product pictures.

I suspect I'm overlooking something, but I can't figure out how to achieve this via API calls (I've successfully done this through both the OpenAI and Gemini UIs, but not with callin.io).

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, as I've spent three days on this and have explored all possible solutions I could think of.

Hello everyone! I'm Ionut, and I'm new to automation. I've been facing a challenge with a scenario for several days now. I have a form where users input information and select a medical problem. Based on their selection, the corresponding problem is retrieved from an Airtable database named "Problems". This table also contains associated products and their packages for each problem. My goal is to use callin.io modules to construct a final text that lists all products related to the chosen problem, including their Name and Benefits, formatted one after another like this:

Product Name1

Benefits

Product Name2

Benefits

...

The issue I'm encountering is that when I try to combine the product texts (Product Name and Benefits) into a single text using either the Text Aggregator or Array Aggregator towards the end of the scenario, I can't seem to avoid having each product appear in separate operations (Operation 1, Operation 2, etc.).

I want the final compiled text, containing the Product Name and Benefits for each product, to be populated into an Airtable table.

I built this entire scenario with the help of ChatGPT, but for the past two days, it's been providing the same solutions that aren't yielding the desired outcome.

Hello,

Let me introduce myself, I am Blandine Hue, and I manage a French association named BPRM Buste Plat & Reconstruction Mammaire (= Flat closure & Breast Reconstruction) which supports women who have undergone or will undergo a mastectomy.
I aim to develop a form to assist them in making their choice: Breast reconstruction or Flat bust (Flat closure).
It's a bit more complex than that, but that's the general idea.

My goal:

Make the form accessible on the website

Once the person has completed the questionnaire, they can request an email summary analysis generated by the AI.

I have already created the form using Google forms.

I also manage to manually convert the Google Sheet data for AI processing, enabling textual analysis of the responses.

I've identified the correct script to request a suitable analysis, and the outcome is excellent.

Now I want to automate this entire process.

I admit I could use some assistance in building this project as I have no prior experience and would appreciate guidance from someone willing to help.

If this is feasible, it would be wonderful and would greatly benefit many women, both in France and internationally.

Thank you in advance

Many influencers promote callin.io, but they only cover it at a very high level. When I try to implement it myself, the process becomes cumbersome, and I realize the influencers might be misleading people. For example:

When linking a Google Sheet, influencers claim you can make changes with natural language. However, the node actually requires manual configuration at a field level. Where can one learn to use callin.io correctly?

If you have an AI agent configured and ask it to update the agent's parameters or its system message...

Not to mention free workflows like Angie, a personal assistant, which unnecessarily complicate a simple workflow for processing voice notes from Telegram. These workflows often fail to compile or download the voice file, throwing errors due to a simple non-conversion to a binary object. How are these types of workflows even approved?

Now, for the tl;dr – is there a reliable source from which I can learn to implement genuinely working workflows?
