Details: The current options in the multiple select field are:

  1. JavaScript
  2. Python
  3. Go
  4. Java
  5. Kotlin
  6. PHP
  7. C#
  8. Swift
  9. R
  10. Ruby

I need to add the following new options: C, C++, and MATLAB. When I attempt to update a record using the Airtable Update Record action in callin.io, I'm encountering an error indicating insufficient permissions to write the data. Could someone please assist me with this issue?

Hi,

To add new values, you need to enable the “Smart Links” option:

Alternatively, you can utilize an API call as detailed here.

When using “Smart Links” enabled, please be aware that even a minor typo will create a new option. Select the approach that best fits your requirements.

Have a great day,
Michal

Thank you for your response. If you could share an example scenario to address this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently struggling to find a solution myself.

Within your “Update” or “Create a record” module, enable “Show advanced settings” and then enable “Smart links”. Refer to the attached screenshot; no further configuration is necessary.

Have a great day!

If I have the new value, does it get added without any errors? For instance, in a multi-select field, if I don't manually save any value, does callin.io save the new value in it using a smart link?
