We're looking to build several automations and will require a Pro subscription for callin.io.
The initial automation involves capturing emails that are assigned a specific label within our email client. This data, along with a prompt, will be sent to Perplexity AI. The response received from Perplexity AI will then be returned to the email client and saved as a draft, ready for the user to review and send.
Our email client is Missive ( https://missiveapp.com/ ). The email accounts integrated with Missive are Google Workspace Gmail accounts. Therefore, accessing the same label through Gmail is an option if it simplifies the automation process.
We have a Teams account with Perplexity and have established several Spaces. Utilizing one of these Spaces would be ideal, as they already contain background information about our business, operational procedures, and the typical writing style and tone of our users. If this isn't feasible, we will supply the prompt information necessary to provide the required context.

This sounds like an excellent automation workflow! I have a few questions to clarify the setup:
- Would you prefer to access emails directly via Missive’s API, or would pulling emails from Gmail (using labels) be acceptable?
- Do you have API access to your Perplexity AI Teams account and Spaces? If so, do you know if there's an endpoint that allows sending prompts to a specific Space?
- Would you like the draft responses to be saved in Missive or directly in Gmail, and should the reply be within the same thread as the original email?

Hi there, thanks for the quick response.
- The difficulty with retrieving emails from Gmail is subsequently re-inserting the drafts into Missive, as Missive doesn't synchronize drafts with Gmail: Why is My Email Account Drafts Folder Not Synced?
- Yes, I have API access to Perplexity. Regarding your question, I queried Perplexity AI
. The response can be found here. - I'd prefer the drafts to be saved within Missive, specifically in the same conversation thread as the original email.
