Hello everyone! I'm currently working on a project called Trekkie – a smart travel assistant for WhatsApp, tailored for solo travelers, backpackers, and digital nomads.
The objective is to develop an AI-powered chatbot that's available around the clock and can:
- Generate personalized travel itineraries using GPT-4
- Respond to travel-related inquiries (like translations, tips, and local information)
- Dispatch alerts (for safety, weather, and local deals) through third-party APIs
- Handle paid plans via Stripe and automatically enable features
The primary user interface will be WhatsApp (using WATI or 360Dialog), and I plan to manage the backend logic with callin.io or a similar no-code automation platform.
I'm seeking assistance with:
Setting up the technical chatbot infrastructure
Integrating APIs (OpenAI, weather, safety, etc.)
Connecting Stripe for payments and access control
Building backend automations for the user journey
The aim is to create a functional, stable, and optimized assistant that provides significant value at a minimal cost.
