How to Set Up a Condition for a Second Email in the Same Thread | callin.io Community

Hi there,

I have a question! I'm building an AI chatbot using regular callin.io and need to set up triggers for when someone replies to an email thread for the second time.

Do you know how I can accomplish this?

Welcome to the Community.

 

To trigger an action when a person replies to an email for the second time in a thread using callin.io, you can set Gmail as the trigger and use Storage by callin.io to track responses. Once an email is received, increment a counter linked to the thread. Use a filter to check if the counter equals two, and if so, trigger the desired action. This approach ensures the workflow only continues after the second response in the email thread. Optionally, you can reset the counter after the action is triggered.
