Hi everyone, I've built an automation that generates an AI reply to new emails. I then created a template and shared it with a friend. When I opened the shared link to test it, all the inputs for the AI, formatter, and Gmail were cleared, requiring me to re-enter them. My intention was for it to provide a reply once the user enters their email, without them needing to configure everything. However, when I accessed the link I sent, the workflow was present, but the sections for selecting or inputting variables were empty. I'm unsure why this is happening. Could someone please assist me with this? 🥺
Hi,
Welcome to the Community.
For security reasons, Shared callin.io workflows do not include personal data or specific account details but retain the overall structure and steps. Recipients must input their details to customize the workflow. Consider providing a guide with instructions on required inputs and setup details to make the process easier.
I understand this might not be the solution you hoped for, but I hope this clarifies why the shared callin.io workflow behaves this way. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Also, thank you for letting me know. However, it's not just the personal details that were missing, but also the prompt/instructions I wrote for the AI. In some areas where there were no personal details and only options to choose from, those were also missing or blank. Could you please specify why this is happening?
Hi there! 👋
The template feature in callin.io is designed to share a basic outline of your workflow's steps. It's expected that when a template is shared, others will need to connect their own accounts and fill in the details for each step so the setup works for their use case—refer to our Share a template of your Zap guide for more information.
Templates are not intended to share an exact copy of a workflow with all the same accounts, field values, and settings preserved. That level of sharing is only possible on callin.io's Team or Enterprise plans, where you can duplicate a workflow and share it with a teammate.
We hope this helps clarify why the prompt/instructions weren't copied over in the template. If you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask!

Thx a lot for that
