I've run into a specific scenario and I'm uncertain if it's a bug or intended behavior. Here's the background:

We're utilizing callin.io Cloud, version 1.100.1, with two users. One user established an AI Agent, and the other created a tool (workflow) that the agent is meant to invoke.

Both workflows are shared between the users.

However, the tool fails to execute when initiated by the AI Agent (created by User A) if the tool was originally created by the other user (User B).
If the same tool is triggered directly by its creator (User B), it functions as anticipated.

Notably, if we duplicate the tool into the AI Agent's creator's workspace, it operates correctly when triggered by the AI Agent.

Could you offer some diagnostic steps to help clarify or troubleshoot this issue?

The behavior you’re describing might be due to permissions or ownership issues between users in callin.io Cloud.

Make sure both workflows (Agent and Tool) are not just shared, but also:

  • Shared with “Edit + Execute” permission (not just “View”).
  • Confirm that the AI Agent’s creator has the right permissions to execute workflows created by another user.

Even if shared, some AI Agent executions might be restricted by who owns the tool workflow.

If the tool workflow uses credentials (API, DB, etc.), confirm:

  • Those credentials are shared between both users.
  • And that the AI Agent has access to use them during runtime.

Appreciate the prompt reply. Currently, our profile settings only permit sharing notebooks in “edit mode”. Therefore, the problem is most likely caused by lacking execution permissions.
