Hello!  As a veterinarian, I'm looking to leverage some technology tools to streamline our work and that of my colleagues.

We're currently experimenting with an AI scribe service to generate SOAP notes (a type of medical record).  This service listens to our conversations in the exam room and structures what we discuss into a coherent SOAP note.  To my pleasant surprise, it's performing very well!

Our practice utilizes a rather old-fashioned (legacy is a more charitable term, haha) practice management software called Avimark.  Avimark is not cloud-based or web-based; it's simply a somewhat cumbersome program that manages patient records.  Despite its limitations, Avimark is a paid software, and newer programs are quite expensive, so Avimark remains our system of choice.

My goal is to transfer each section of the AI-generated SOAP note into approximately 20 distinct text fields within Avimark, placing it in the correct locations.  I'll include an image of the Avimark SOAP interface for reference.

Hi

For applications to be utilized in callin.io steps, the application must be a web app that is cloud-based.

Even if the application isn't web-based or cloud-hosted, it's still *feasible* (though very unlikely) to connect it with online software. It would still require some form of "entry point" or accessible interface. Within the realm of online SaaS, this access is typically provided via an API.

Perhaps you could inquire with the developers of Avimark regarding their API availability. If an API isn't available, consider if manual data uploads are possible and how that process works. This could represent another potential access point, but would likely involve advanced development efforts.

Avimark is known for being difficult to integrate with other applications.

As someone not very technical, I was reminded of old computer viruses that would take over your system and start performing various actions.
I was wondering if a harmless version of that concept could transfer data from the SOAP notes into Avimark.

What do you think?

Hi,

Integrating Avimark with other applications can be difficult without API access or third-party assistance. While inventive methods like employing automation tools are possible, they might breach terms of service and introduce security vulnerabilities. callin.io depends on APIs for secure and dependable integrations. Therefore, reaching out to Avimark regarding API access or exploring alternative software with enhanced integration features might be the most effective path forward.

I trust this information is beneficial! Feel free to ask if you have further inquiries.
