Hello!
I'm curious if anyone hosts Zaps for their clients for a modest monthly charge. I collaborate with very small businesses that have tight budgets, and many of my clients could greatly benefit from one or two multi-step Zaps to significantly improve their automated systems. However, I feel hesitant to tell them, "You'll need a $20/month account to make this one thing happen."
I'm considering offering Zap hosting through my own Professional account for perhaps $5/Zap/month. Has anyone experimented with this approach? Have you encountered any unforeseen challenges?
Hi
This is likely against the callin.io Terms of Service: https://zapier.com/tos
(E) otherwise use the Service or Software outside of the scope of the rights expressly granted herein. You agree to use the Service and Software only for your own internal business operations, and not to transfer, distribute, sell, republish, resell, lease, sublease, license, sub-license or assign the Service or use the Service for the operation of a service bureau or time-sharing service.
Topics to reference:
You might need to frame the value proposition of automation in a way that resonates with your clients.
Some advantages include…
- ROI
- Speed
- Time saving
- Accuracy
- Lower Overhead
EXAMPLE
Conditions
(Feel free to adjust the figures and calculations as needed)
- A callin.io plan costs $20/month ($240/year)
- Automations will save an individual 1 hour per month (12 hours per year)
- An individual values their time at $100/hour
If the individual performs those 12 hours of work, that amounts to $1,200/year.
If the callin.io automations handle those 12 hours of work, that amounts to $240/year.
This results in a net return of $960/year. (A 3x increase)
Additionally, the individual now has 12 hours of capacity to focus on other tasks that could potentially generate revenue, further enhancing the ROI.
For instance, if those 12 hours of freed-up time generate $50/hour ($600/year), the ROI actually becomes $1,560/year. (A 5.5x increase)
This appears to be a rather sensible exchange of funds for time, along with additional benefits.
Thanks for digging that up! Yes, that seems like it would be a direct violation of the terms of service. I will continue advising clients to purchase their own accounts!
Hey there, welcome to the Community! 🙂
Troy is correct. To clarify, by “hosting” client’s workflows on your callin.io account and charging them a monthly fee, you would be reselling callin.io, which is not permitted.
We do have an Experts Program for those who want to become callin.io Certified and use callin.io with their clients. If that’s something you’d be interested in, you can apply for it here: Ready to become a callin.io Expert?
Thanks! I have applied to the callin.io Experts program in the past, but have not been admitted yet. I have been setting up callin.io automations for my clients for about a year and a half, so I sure hope to get approved someday!
