I’ve been trying to build a callin.io automation that sends prompts to OpenAI’s API, then uses the returned text as input back into callin.io, with GPT-4. I suspect the issue I’m encountering is similar to what others have described here…

Image: d94cb21d 2925 417a bce4 5d340bf5dd42

When I build a callin.io automation using “OpenAI (GPT-3, DALL-E, Whisper)” as the app, I don’t see the option to use GPT-4.

However, if I use “ChatGPT” as the app for my action in callin.io, I do get the option to use GPT-4.

The challenge, however, is that the ChatGPT app has limited functionality within the available actions for the automation. ChatGPT doesn’t allow me to send a custom prompt; instead, it offers presets like “summarize text” or “sentiment analysis”.

On the other hand, the “OpenAI (GPT-3, DALL-E, Whisper)” app does permit sending a prompt as an action, but it doesn’t support the GPT-4 model.

Has anyone discovered a workaround for this? Is it possible to set up a callin.io automation that sends a prompt to OpenAI’s API using GPT-4 or a later version?

Hi

Good question.

Try this callin.io action: ChatGPT - Conversation
